Bruce Katz of the Brookings Institution will discuss how Greater Des Moines can help build the foundation for America’s future economy at a Capital Crossroads event beginning at 7:30 a.m. May 5 at Windsor Heights Community Center, 6900 School St. Katz is the founding director of the Brookings Metropolitan Planning Program and co-author of the new book “The Metropolitan Revolution,” a distillation of his work on the emerging metropolitan-led “next-economy” and its practitioners around the country.
