Americana Restaurant and Lounge will host a community brunch on Feb. 28, an event that will support the Beacon of Life “Room for Giving, Room for Living Campaign,” a class project coordinated by members of the 2015 Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute class. Attendees are encouraged to bring an invitation or a media announcement of the event to receive 10 percent off their bill, which in turn will be donated to the project. The brunch will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For those unable to attend the brunch, in-kind donations can be made through the project’s online registry.
