The Business Record was honored with two national awards by the Alliance of Area Business Publishers on Saturday at the industry trade group’s annual meeting in Charlotte, N.C. The Business Record won first place in the best “Specialty Enewsletter” category for its weekly Lift IOWA enewsletter, which aims to help keep female business leaders informed, connected and empowered in an effort to move the needle to increase female business ownership and involvement in politics and government. The Business Record also received third place in the category for best “Feature Layout” for last year’s Photo Issue, which profiled through photography the hobbies of local business leaders.
