Several Des Moines businesses and the Des Moines Symphony are teaming up to help support the Food Bank of Iowa.

Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds’ office announced today that the symphony, ARAG, Bank of the West, Dahl’s Foods Inc. and Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority have announced the Yankee Doodle Drive Against Hunger.

The organizations have asked people to donate non-perishable food items at Dahl’s and Bank of the West locations, or during the symphony’s annual Yankee Doodle Pops concert, held at 8:30 p.m. July 3 at the state Capitol.
