In-person classes at DMACC are resuming after a cybersecurity event prompted DMACC to shut down its network for five days during an investigation with cybersecurity experts and the FBI. Classes that are fully in-person or hybrid will resume at regularly scheduled times and locations, but online-only classes are canceled for Wednesday, according to an update posted by DMACC. In-person classes that were scheduled to begin June 7 will now start Thursday, June 10. Fully online courses will begin 24 hours after the network is restored to allow faculty time to prepare. DMACC staff will work from home using their personal network to access some programs, such as Zoom, that are not based through the DMACC network. Limited staff in departments such as maintenance and the physical plant will return to campus as normal.
