Capital Crossroads and the DSM USA 4 Equity Collective have chosen a consultant to help the region develop measurable equity initiatives. According to a news release, Tulsa, Okla.-based Arrowhead Consulting LLC and its senior diversity, equity and inclusion consultant, Kuma Roberts, will work alongside community stakeholders to develop the initiatives. The DSM USA 4 Equity Collective was developed through Capital Crossroads and is made up of community stakeholders who were chosen to help develop a system to ensure diversity, equity and inclusion in all community efforts. The collective and Arrowhead Consulting will work together to develop tools, plans and goals that can help build more equitable practices in businesses and the community. Renee Hardman, tri-chair of the collective, said the work to develop a road map for diversity, equity and inclusion is an important step “as we strive to get to a destination of a Greater Des Moines where all are welcomed, supported and given an opportunity to thrive.” Other tri-chairs of the collective are Marta Codina and Tanner Krause.
