Capital Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine P.C. has hired Ryan Smith as vice president of operations, effective in January. Smith is currently a hospital administrator and regional operations administrator with Mayo Clinic Health System, where he has worked since 2011. Prior to that, Smith was the development director at Dallas County Hospital in Perry. An Iowa native, Smith holds an associate degree from Waldorf College, a bachelor’s degree in health promotion from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master of Health Care Administration degree from Des Moines University.
