Cargill deal could provide jobs in Webster County

Cargill Inc. announced Wednesday that it has purchased Tate & Lyle plc’s corn wet mill ethanol plant in Fort Dodge.

The facility has the ability to grind 150,000 bushels of corn per day and produce 115 million gallons of ethanol per year. Gov. Terry Branstad said in a press release that the facility will create more than 100 jobs in Webster County.
