Ankeny-based Casey’s General Stores Inc. last week was honored by the Women’s Forum of New York for the company’s work advancing gender parity in the boardroom. Casey’s current board of directors includes five women, who comprise 55% of members. Casey’s joined 323 S&P 500/Fortune 1000 companies at the 2019 Breakfast of Corporate Champions, where CEOs spoke on why gender balance in the boardroom is a strategic business imperative and how to accelerate the path toward parity.
