Casinos in Altoona, Council Bluffs fined by regulators

Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Altoona was fined $20,000 for an underage gambling violation in April, its second incident in the last 365 days. A third violation before the 365-day period is up would lead to a $30,000 fine. In Council Bluffs, William Hill, which runs the simulcast operations at Horseshoe Casino, was fined $5,000. Regulators said that William Hill operations twice failed to upload names from the statewide exclusion list into their list that they use to screen patrons.
