Catch Des Moines plans a rally at 4:45 p.m. today at Cowles Commons to honor the community support for the campaign to host an Ironman event in Des Moines. A recent bid fell short, but officials still are in talks with event organizers about future possibilities. Catch Des Moines CEO Greg Edwards and others will make a special announcement at 5 p.m.
