Catholic Charities achieves reaccreditation
Catholic Charities has achieved national reaccreditation through the New York-based Council on Accreditation. Part of the Diocese of Des Moines, Catholic Charities provides professional counseling, emergency family shelter, housing and employment advocacy, nutrition assistance, empowerment services, refugee resettlement and an extensive domestic violence shelter and sexual assault program. The COA accreditation process involves a detailed review and analysis of an organization’s administration, management and service delivery functions against international standards of best practice. “I am very pleased of our team‘s achievement of COA reaccreditation,” said Barbara Decker, executive director of Catholic Charities. “We want our supporters to know we practice and advance best practices and continuously improve our processes to best utilize our resources and serve our clients.”
