The Iowa Caucus Consortium is launching plans for the 2020 caucus cycle, including a Media Filing Center that will be open at the Iowa Events Center from Jan. 31 to Feb. 4. The consortium, formed in 2008, provides media, candidates and visitors with information and assistance as Iowa runs its first-in-the-nation caucuses. The initiative teams Catch Des Moines and the Greater Des Moines Partnership with America’s Cultivation Corridor, Drake University, the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs and the Technology Association of Iowa, along with the two major political parties. The effort includes the @iacaucus2020 Twitter and Instagram accounts and the hashtag #iacaucus. A website, www.iowacaucus.org, helps the media get credentials for the filing center and events and find backdrops, story and photo ideas, and restaurants and hotels. Events will include the Candidate Forum Series, town-hall-style presentations with major party presidential candidates, an Issue Forum Series and a CEO Roundtable event.
