CB Richard Ellis Group Inc. ranked No. 30 overall in Newsweek’s 2010 Green Rankings, a list that ranks the environmental performance of the 500 largest publicly traded companies in the United States. The rankings are based on a composite score of companies’ performance in three areas: environmental impact, green policies and reputation among peers. Los Angeles-based CB Richard Ellis, which moved up in the rankings from No. 45 in 2009, claimed the No. 1 spot in the financial services sector. The biggest improvement this year for the commercial real estate services provider was in its reputation score, which increased to 69.96 from 20.38. That score is derived from an opinion survey of corporate professionals, academics and other environmental experts.
