Corridor Business Journal: United Fire Group reported a net loss of $17.9 million, or 72 cents per diluted share, in its third quarter as it struggled under the weight of hurricane catastrophe losses and more severe commercial auto losses. The Cedar Rapids-based insurer reported catastrophe losses of $30.7 million during the quarter.
