The Central Iowa Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals recently named the winners of the 2015 Philanthropy Day Awards, which recognize individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the quality of life in Central Iowa. This year’s winners are: Outstanding Philanthropist – Tom and Linda Koehn, West Des Moines; Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser – Steve Chapman, West Des Moines; Outstanding Corporate/Foundation – Sammons Financial Group, West Des Moines; Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy – Dylan DeClerck, Clive; Spirit of Philanthropy – Johnny Danos, Des Moines. Honorees will be recognized at the 30th annual Philanthropy Day luncheon in Des Moines, scheduled for Nov. 13.
