Coldwell Banker Mid-America Group CEO Randall Clarkson will step down at the end of this month after a 25-year career with the locally owned real estate brokerage company that was founded in 1961 by the late Marvin Pomerantz, according to a release.

Clarkson joined Coldwell Banker Mid-America Group in 1990. He was named president and CEO in December 2011 after serving as a managing broker. The board of directors will conduct a nationwide search to seek a replacement, and Carolyn Helmlinger, previous president & CEO, will assist with the search and transition.

Coldwell Banker Mid-America Group is a franchised affiliate of Coldwell Banker Corp. Mid-America Group is a commercial real estate company that plans, develops, owns and manages Class A office and industrial real estate.

The company developed Regency West office park, which sprawls east from 50th Street and Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. R&R Realty Group now holds the majority ownership of that eight-building, 44-acre complex.
