CFA Society to host Research Challenge

The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Society of Iowa is hosting the 2012 CFA Research Challenge Friday at the Pappajohn Education Center in downtown Des Moines. The annual event sponsored by the CFA Institute, a global, nonprofit organization of investment professionals, allows students across the world to compete in a securities analysis and valuation contest. Teams of students from several Iowa and Nebraska universities will evaluate the investment potential of Rockwell Collins Inc.’s stock, make a a recommendation to buy, sell or hold, and defend their decisions. Winners from the competition will compete later this year for the “Americas” title and could potentially move on to the global competition level.
