Chairman of group that owns Iowa auto dealerships dies

The chairman of the auto group that owns and operates dealerships in Central Iowa died Sunday of the coronavirus, according to the Salt Lake Tribune. Robert H. Garff, 77, was chairman of the Ken Garff Automotive Group, a Utah-based company started in 1932 by his father. The company is the largest seller of vehicles in Utah, according to the Tribune. The company has dealerships in five other states including Iowa where it operates Stew Hansen Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Fiat in Urbandale; Dewey Ford in Ankeny; and Southtown Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Indianola.
