“Game for Good,” Opportunity on Deck’s annual slow-pitch softball fundraiser will be played at 2 p.m. Sept. 20 at Principal Park. The charity softball game will be coached by notable athletes, coaches and alumni from Iowa colleges and universities. The coaches will lead two teams of 12 players that are made up of donors and participants from local area businesses and corporations. “While small businesses and non-profit organizations continue to be impacted by the economic repercussions of COVID-19, fundraising events like the Game for Good are instrumental to the livelihood of Opportunity on Deck,” Dylan DeClerck, the organization’s executive director. Appropriate social distancing procedures will be followed during the game.
