General contracting firm Neumann Brothers Inc.has hired Jeff Charlson as its chief financial officer, the company announced today in a release. Charlson, a certified public accountant, has over 20 years in the Des Moines area construction industry. “Neumann Brothers’ core values resonate with me at a personal and professional level and the leadership of the business consistently exhibits those values,” Charlson said. He has held various positions in the construction, manufacturing and heavy equipment industries, recently serving as CFO of Housby Mack & Isuzu. Previously, he worked for for Neumann Brothers’ CPA firm and served on the audit team. President and CEO Mike Simpson said of Charlson, “Though he is not a builder of structures, he is a builder of our future.”
