The branch opened on Feb. 25 at 350 S.E. Alice’s Road. It is the ninth Chase branch to open in Iowa and the first in Waukee since the bank began opening branches in Iowa in 2021.
It’s part of the company’s commitment to open 25 new branches and create 250 jobs in Iowa by 2030, an announcement made when JPMorgan Chase Chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon visited Des Moines in August 2024 for the opening of a new Chase branch at 31st Street and Ingersoll Avenue.
In a news release, Majda Hadzic, market director for Chase, said the new Waukee branch will connect neighbors and local businesses to the critical resources that meet their needs.
Chase’s growth in Iowa is part of the firm’s broader goal to serve 50% of the population in each of the 48 contiguous U.S. states within an accessible drive time.
“Branches are critically important to our customers – more than 75% of our balances are still held by customers who regularly use our branches,” Hadzic said in the release.
The bank will have nine local employees, including personal bankers, associate bankers, private client specialists, advisers and home lending and business banking specialists.
