Des Moines Performing Arts’ President and CEO Jeff Chelesvig recently became president of the Independent Presenters Network, an international consortium of 40 leading Broadway presenters, theaters and performing arts centers, including DMPA. The IPN supports the Broadway industry by investing in productions. DMPA has been a member of the IPN since it began. The IPN made its first investment in the Broadway production of “Thoroughly Modern Millie” in 2002 and since then has invested in more than 35 productions. The organization has won 10 Tony Awards and seven Drama Desk Awards. Notable productions DMPA has invested in through the IPN include “Dear Evan Hansen,” “Hello, Dolly,” “Pippin,” “La Cage aux Folles” and “The Bridges of Madison County.”
