Chesnut named dean of Drake’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences

Renae Chesnut, professor of pharmacy practice, has been named dean of the Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, effective immediately. She has been interim dean since June 2015. Chesnut earned her Bachelor of Science in pharmacy, Master of Business Administration, and specialist and doctorate of education degrees from Drake University. She joined the Drake faculty in 1993 and has been associate dean of academic and student affairs in the college since 2004. She is a past president of the Iowa Pharmacy Association, is a member of the Cardinal Health Women in Pharmacy Advisory Board, and was the 2014 recipient of the national Lambda Kappa Sigma Vanguard Leadership Award.
