ChildServe names new director of gift planning
ChildServe announced that Colleen Rogers Messenger has joined its foundation as the director of gift planning. In a news release, ChildServe said Messenger will help with ChildServe’s major gift initiatives, increase commitments to its endowments and promote legacy giving. Messenger joins ChildServe after serving as director of development of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa. She has nearly 15 years of fundraising experience. In the news release, Messenger said she’s excited to share the story of ChildServe with donors, and knows that ChildServe is a “special place.” Erica Axiotis, ChildServe executive director, said in the release that the newly created position of director of gift planning “signifies a commitment to the future growth of the organization and a renewed focus on planned giving.”
