Chrysalis Foundation awards more than $100,000 to local nonprofits

The Chrysalis Foundation announced it has awarded more than $100,000 to 27 local nonprofits as part of its annual grant program. The selected organizations work to address the Chrysalis Foundation’s mission of ensuring safety, security, education and economic empowerment to girls and women. The grants are awarded in three categories: Community Partners, which provides core support; Rapid Response, which offers funding for immediate needs that may hinder day-to-day work; and Client Emergency funds, which provide for simple client needs including bus fare, job uniforms, or fees for a class. Since 1989, the Chrysalis Foundation has awarded $5.4 million in grants. A list of all of the grant recipients can be found on the Chrysalis Foundation website.
