Rose Schroder has been hired as a planning manager for the city of Pleasant Hill, officials announced. Schroder will be responsible for implementing urban planning and community development activities and programs as well as the city’s comprehensive plan. She will also be the community development department’s division manager. Schroder has a bachelor’s degree in community and regional planning from Iowa State University. She most recently was a senior planner for Bolton & Menk Inc. in Des Moines. She previously worked as an urban planner and planning coordinator for the city of Council Bluffs, where she was employed for 17 years. Schroder will be paid $97,027 annually.
