ClinicNote joins Square One DSM accelerator

Square One DSM has added ClinicNote to its accelerator program, giving the software company formed by three Iowa State University graduate students a chance to continue to work on basics.
ClinicNote’s software tools help speech pathologists more easily file patient progress reports to ensure continued health insurance coverage. Tyler Fox, Morgan Hampel and Justin Coaldrake, who each earned bachelor’s degrees in industrial engineering at ISU, formed the company. All three now are pursuing graduate degrees in engineering or computer science.

The software takes advantage of elaborate electronic record keeping in the speech field to help simplify progress report production that, to this point, has been a largely manual task.

The accelerator, formed by the Greater Des Moines Partnership, focuses on high-potential companies. It does not provide capital directly or take an equity position in the client firms.

Square One DSM provides full-time mentoring for six months, focusing on skills, forming alliances, business models, financial planning, strategy and idea development.

ClinicNote earlier worked with the Global Insurance Accelerator, also in Des Moines.
