Cmelik elected to board of international municipal clerks
Des Moines City Clerk P. Kay Cmelik was recently elected to the board of directors of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, a nonprofit organization with more than 15,000 members worldwide, the organization announced. Cmelik, who will represent Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin, was sworn in during a virtual meeting of the IIMC board of directors in mid-May. Her term lasts three years. Cmelik was appointed Des Moines’ city clerk in September.
