Iowa State University has appointed Joe Colletti as interim dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, effective Nov. 20. Colletti, who is senior associate dean of the college and associate director of the Iowa Agriculture and Home Economics Experiment Station, takes over for Wendy Wintersteen, who was recently selected as ISU’s president. He will also serve as interim director of the Experiment Station. Colletti, who joined ISU in 1978, was appointed senior associate dean in 2006 after serving as interim chair of the department of natural resource ecology and management from 2004 to 2005. Iowa State will begin a national search for a permanent dean within the next few weeks.
