Commercial real estate broker Mike Carver was elected to the Urbandale City Council on Nov. 6 with 1,495 votes.

Carver, who received the most votes of any candidate, has been involved with economic development in the area for more than 20 years.

“My focus over the years has been to help and encourage commercial development,” he said.

Mary Polson and Tom Gayman were elected to the other two seats.
