Community development financier opens Iowa office
The top community development financial institution in the Midwest has opened its first Iowa office in Davenport.
IFF, an organization that lends money to nonprofits and consults with them on real estate, has helped to fund nine nonprofits in Iowa since 2006, according to a release. IFF is opening the office to get closer to its Iowa customers and invest more in the future. Previously, the closest office was in Chicago.
“The IFF loan helped Habitat to acquire and renovate our new facility, which houses the Habitat ReStore, administrative offices and construction operations,” said Lance Henning, executive director of Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity. “Most importantly, the relocated facility will allow us to expand our mission to further impact the greater Des Moines community.”
