Community Foundation marks $51 million in contributions 2014
The Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines announced today that more than $51 million in contributions were made to funds held at the organization in 2014, ensuring the continued charitable support of local nonprofits and other organizations. Other achievements noted in a news release include the establishment of 183 new charitable funds administered by the Community Foundation, the award of nearly $26 million in grants and the investment of more than $515,000 in initiatives and projects designed to strengthen Greater Des Moines.
