Community Youth Concepts chosen for sustainability program
The U.S. Green Building Council has chosen Community Youth Concepts in Des Moines to be the first Iowa entity to go through the ADVANCE program, which advances equity in sustainability energy, resources and health performance in its space. Through a series of events and follow-up activities, CYC will work collaboratively with the green building community to advance energy, resource, and health performance in its space. “We are very excited to collaborate with Community Youth Concepts,” said Capital Crossroads Director Bethany Wilcoxon, who also serves as the ADVANCE Ambassador for the state. CYC’s mission is to engage and connect Iowa students through youth development programming, and to provide training and assistance to youth-serving nonprofits.
