Confluence, Big Grove breweries win gold, silver medals at World Beer Cup
Des Moines Register: Confluence Brewing Co. of Des Moines won first place in the Bohemian-style pilsner category at the 2022 World Beer Cup, for its Over the Ivy Czech-style pilsner. Big Grove Brewery won silver in the Contemporary Gose category with My Squad Stays on Point, a fruited gose sour. Big Grove, which has taprooms in Iowa City and Solon, is planning to open a taproom in Des Moines. The Colorado-based Brewers Association, a trade group that also hosts the Great American Beer Festival, hosts the international competition.
