Consumer confidence in the United States dropped to a five-month low in June, according to a report from The Conference Board, which produces the confidence index.

Confidence slid to 62 in June, down from a revised reading of 64.4 in May, according to Bloomberg.

The Confidence Board’s gauge of expectations, a forecast of the next six months, also lowered in June, as did the number of employers expecting to create more jobs, according to Bloomberg.
