Commercial insurer Continental Western Group has piloted drone technology and analytics from Fluttrbox, Insurance Networking News reported. Montreal-based Fluttrbox, which graduated in 2015 from the Global Insurance Accelerator in Des Moines, provides a network of drone operators and data management for insurers that want to use the technology to assist in underwriting and claims. “Part of the attraction of a drone program for CWG was the possibility of a reduction in loss adjustment expenses and an increase in underwriting accuracy,” said Doug Pearson, senior vice president and chief underwriting officer for CWG.
