MercyOne announced it recently hired Troy Cook as division director of MercyOne Business Solutions. In that role, Cook leads new and existing partnered employer health strategies across Iowa, including MercyOne’s current employee wellness programs, executive health, on-site screening services, occupational health and partnered benefit design, among other services. He has also led MercyOne’s COVID-19 services since starting with the health system in March. Cook has more than 25 years of experience working for health organizations ranging from Fortune 100 companies to family-owned businesses. Most recently, he was vice president of sales and business development with Telligen in West Des Moines. MercyOne has expanded its Business Solutions services during the pandemic, including on-site testing, temperature and symptom screening for employers, training for nurses and other staff, and mental health and virtual health support. Fareway and the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority are among organizations with essential workers that have reached out to MercyOne for support in COVID-19 testing their team members.
