Corn Board Manufacturing Inc. expands in Iowa

0 wordsAll Latest News, ManufacturingTexas-based Corn Board Manufacturing Inc. plans to build a new plant near Odebolt in Sac County to manufacture pallets and other products made of its CornBoard, a pressed, engineered wood alternative made using corn stover. The 55,000-square-foot plant is expected to create between 30 and 50 local jobs. The announcement was made by CEO Lane Segerstrom at a March 8 event co-hosted by Landus Cooperative and Corn Board to celebrate the USDA’s first National Biobased Products Day, highlighting the role of bio-based products in Iowa’s economy and their role in its future success. The event was streamed live on YouTube and featured several agriculture industry officials, including Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig and Iowa State University professor Eric Cochran.
