The August report on world agricultural supply by the United States Department of Agriculture shows corn production in Iowa is up 26 million bushels from July, but yields are expected to be below levels from last year. The World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates reports corn production in August will be 169.5 bushels per acre, about 3.5 bushels higher than last month’s projection; the report indicates that Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio and South Dakota are forecast to have yields below a year ago.
