A Des Moines couple has donated $125,000 to the Des Moines Area Community College Foundation to create scholarships for central Des Moines students who want to study technical, building trades, mechanical, culinary or any medical-related program. The Farr-Herselius scholarship created by Chuck and Marilyn (Herselius) Farr to help students gain skills in trade and caring professions, will be available to students who live in the north central neighborhoods of Des Moines at the time of their high school graduation.
