83 wordsAll Latest News, Health and Wellness, Statewide NewsDes Moines Register: The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Iowa has dropped for the eighth consecutive week, with new reported cases following a similar decline, according to data from the Iowa Department of Public Health and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. There were 121 such hospitalizations in the state as of today’s update, nearly two months after Iowa’s most recent peak of 1,010 COVID-19 patients on Jan. 17. That’s a drop of nearly 90% over the past eight weeks.
