Covid-19 resurgence clouds business travel rebound
Wall Street Journal: One sign that the airline industry is recovering from the coronavirus pandemic has been slowed because of the rise in cases with the spread of the Delta variant. Companies are delaying business travel this fall with the continued surge in coronavirus cases. While the industry saw an early and strong rebound with leisure travel, business travel has continued to lag. Airlines and hotels had hoped it would pick up this fall, but those hopes are fading as the summer travel season comes to an end, and the increase in cases is postponing some companies’ plans to return to the office and resume in-person meetings.
