Credit union foundation launches Morrow Memorial Scholarship
The Iowa Credit Union Foundation announced that it has renamed its annual Family Involvement Board (FIB) Scholarship to the Warren A. Morrow Memorial Scholarship in celebration of Morrow’s life and achievements in the Hispanic community and credit union industry. “Warren dedicated his life and career to helping the underserved, so this name change is extremely fitting,” said Marybeth Foster, the foundation’s executive director. The scholarship program awards a total of $5,750 annually to six Iowa students, with two different scholarship programs available. Morrow, who founded Coopera Consulting, an Iowa Credit Union League affiliate dedicated to increasing lending in the Latino community, died in February at the age of 34.
