Credit union representatives are learning how to help their members become better savers through the Iowa Credit Union Foundation’s new “People Helping People” Financial Coach Program. Thirty-nine attendees from 22 credit unions attended the three-day program held earlier this month in West Des Moines for a better understanding of how a person’s relationship with money can impact their financial decision making and lead to potential hardship. Financial coaches are member advocates who can help credit union members navigate difficult financial situations. The curriculum was developed in partnership with Adam Carroll, founder of Clive-based National Financial Educators. To see a list of the attendees, click here.
