Creighton: Iowa business conditions index falls
Creighton University’s survey of supply managers and business leaders found that Iowa’s overall business conditions index fell to 51.8 in October from 59.4 in September. Anything over 50 suggests growth. The index was over 50 in new orders, production or sales, delivery lead time, and employment. Inventories, at 42.6, was the only measure below 50. The overall Mid-America Business Conditions Index fell to 54.9 in October, from 57.5 in September, the lowest level since January 2017 but the 23rd straight month of readings indicating continued growth.
