he Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – Iowa Chapter will host a panel discussion Wednesday on the intricacies of entrepreneurship, philanthropy and fundraising. The panel will include Trixie’s Salon & Spa owner Tricia Rivas; Chick Herbert, co-author of the book ‘’It Begs the Question”; and Melissa Knutson, founder of Give Grace, Give Hope. Andrea Rider, an adult living with cystic fibrosis, will also speak about her experience with cystic fibrosis in the workforce. Cystic fibrosis is a rare genetic disease that progressively limits the ability to breathe and shortens lives. The event begins at 5 p.m. at NCMIC Insurance Co. in West Des Moines; admission is $5.
