Security wait times at the Des Moines International Airport have roughly doubled in recent months, but travelers should still expect to get through in less than 30 minutes, The Des Moines Register reported. Airport chief Kevin Foley said wait times have been 20 to 25 minutes during the airport’s busiest period from 5 to 7 a.m. That’s up from five to 10 minutes a few months ago, he said. During slower periods, wait times have been roughly 10 to 12 minutes, Foley said. Travelers in Chicago, Atlanta and Denver have reported waiting more than an hour in security lines.
