The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority has announced that it will be adding more trips to Route 15 – Sixth Avenue, providing additional evening travel opportunities for riders heading toward downtown. The change is part of DART’s regular service change and will be effective starting Feb. 19. Three more inbound trips will be added, including one new weekday trip and two new Saturday trips, each taking place in the evening. These trips will be cost-neutral and will provide more value to the communities served by DART, according to DART’s chief planning officer, Luis Montoya. The new schedules for Route 15 are available on DART’s website, and paper schedules can be accessed on buses and at DART Central Station.
