Des Moines native to lead Iowa Women’s Foundation
The Iowa Women’s Foundation has selected Dawn Oliver to be its executive director. Oliver, who was born and raised in Des Moines, is a graduate of the University of Iowa. She currently serves as executive director of The Women’s Foundation of Greater Kansas City, a position she has held since 2005. Her career with nonprofit organizations spans 30 years. The foundation’s mission is <!– –>to improve the lives of Iowa women and girls through the power of philanthropy, advocacy and collaboration. Oliver begins her new job Feb. 18. The organization’s headquarters is in Iowa City.
